Happy Holiday Faces...except for Drake in the picture with me.
Almost every Thanksgiving we split the day in two so that we can spend the day with both our families. We are blessed to have Justin's parents and mine so close by, but on Thanksgiving we are the ones getting stuffed, not the turkeys. This year we had a Thanksgiving lunch at the Cersey house. All of Justin's sisters and their families were there. The food was amazing, of course. I made green bean casserole, which hardly anyone ate, so I packed it up and took it to my next feast. Justin's family has a lot of holiday traditions. One of them is to decorate the kids' Chirstmas tree on Thanksgiving day after we eat. My kids only broke one ornament this year. Then we took some family pictures before we had to dash down the street to my parents' house for round 2. My Aunt Shelley, Uncle Ross, Cousin Darron and his wife LuAnne were there to join us for Thanksgiving this year. This is probably the most people we have had over for Thanksgiving in 10 years or more. It was nice to have more family to contribute to the holiday spirit. We ate at 5:00, so we had a few hours to digest in between meals. As you can see, I brought the green bean casserole ;) After dinner we played the game Apples to Apples. My Aunt Shelley is notorious for winning every game she plays and she was true to form yet again. For the record, we believe that this is the reason why my dad hates games, because his sister never let him win one during his childhood. For once I had the mind to get a family picture before we all went our separate ways. I was tired and it shows, but everyone else looks good. Happy Thanksgiving!Saturday, November 27, 2010
