A Haircut

So, I got my haircut last week and I have been meaning to have someone take a picture so that I can post it here, but people are somewhat sparse this week and I am having trouble getting a good shot by myself, so the picture will have to wait. The haircut is great, and I highly recommend the salon where I had it done. The link to their website can be found on the right hand side of this page under the obvious title "My Favorite Salon". The reason that people are so vacant from my life this week is really quite acceptable and is no cause for pity. My parents are in St. Lucia, a well deserved vacation. Justin left for Boston today so that he can attend a seminar that will help him to build our vast empire of wealth. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are franticly working on a wedding (they are wedding decorators and caterers) that is taking place this weekend. And these are the people that I see the most, and thus you see why there is no picture of my wonderful new haircut. I can hardly ask Jackson to take the picture. He would most certainly be unable to capture the greatness that is my new haircut, and without a doubt drop the camera to boot. And so, you must wait. Ah, but now you see what I have done. I have built up the reputation of my new haircut so much that even a picture would not do it justice. So, I am afraid that now dear friends and family, you will just have to come in person and see it for yourself. I'll be waiting. Kristina

Our Hawaii Trip (7 Months later)

So, we went to Hawaii back in September of last year and I never really got a chance to post anything about it. In short, it was a very relaxing and beautiful vacation that was long overdue. I put this slide show together with some pictures from the trip. Enjoy!

First Timer

So, I guess I am a little behind on the times, but I don't fully understand "blogging" quite yet which is pretty sad considering my husband is a web developer. Anyway, here goes my first real attempt at blogging. Justin and I have been married for nearly 5 years now, but it feels like less because one of us always seems to have something going on that keeps us apart more than we would like. Fortunately, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Justin is still working full time in Atlanta at CompuCredit where he is an internal web developer. He is also trying to get his real estate investment company up and running on the side. He is such a hard worker and very determined so, there is no doubt that he'll be a successful investor any day now. I got my real estate license about 8 months ago, mostly to facilitate Justin's real estate needs, but after my classes I was revved up to use it for my own career development as well. Then I got pregnant which is great, but it has hindered my progress somewhat. It's cool though, there will be plenty of time for that later and in the mean time I have the best job in the world...being a mom. Jackson's second birthday is next month and he couldn't be a cooler little dude. He is talking a lot now which is fun. Mommy often has to act as an interpreter, but he is doing really well at making intelligible sentences now. He knows his alphabet, numbers 1 - 13, the basic colors, and some shapes. We are so proud. His current passion is completely centered around trains. You can't talk to him for 2 minutes without hearing something about "Thomas & Friends". So, here we grow again. Our small family will soon have a new addition. Our second son is due this June and the excitement and fear are now starting to set in. I know that having more than one child is a do-able thing, but at this point I just don't see how it all works out. Jackson is almost 2 years old now and as cute as can be, but he is a lot of work, so to think of having another little guy just blows my mind at this point. Anyway, one of the many concerns regarding a new baby is name picking. We have a name in mind, but we are open to suggestions, so feel free to make some! Well, I guess that wraps things up for my first blog. Feel free to give me some "blogging" pointers. Like why do I need a title for this blog and a label?
